MATRIC INVESTS IN ADDITIONAL FULL FUNCTIONAL TEST EQUIPMENT
Matric recently invested in additional testing equipment to double the in-house automated full functional testing capacity. The new equipment was purchased to operate along side an existing, identical model. Both machines are designed to administer customized testing programs for cable assemblies, printed circuit boards and fully assembled units.
Advantages to utilizing the 2 machines include time savings, safety and versatility. A board that might take a customer 1 - 2 hours to test can be completed in 10 -15 minutes. Safety is increased since the testing is developed to a specific controlled environment that helps eliminate human error.
The equipment has 64 measurement points that can be used to test voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, frequency and more. Other features of the machines include:
- 4 variable 30 amp 0-64 VDC supplies
- 1 fixed 5V supply
- 64 reed relays for signal switching
- Voltage and current sensing module
- Windows XP operating system
- Customized reporting capabilities
The systems also feature IEEE communications protocol that allows the system to interface with other testing devices such as oscilloscopes and generators. Working through the operating system, the testers can control the other attached devices and download information directly.
